As always, the new year brings fresh projects and ideas for me as both a writer and a teacher. I am currently teaching a course in professional ethics at Lindenwood University. I am also working with younger students on stories that could soon be featured on SciJourner, a site that showcases the efforts of a University of Missouri-St. Louis project that teaches high schoolers “science literacy through science journalism.” I have also joined an authors’ group planning to open a bookstore featuring work by regional writers. Finally, I have been working diligently to generate innovative ideas for a variety of projects including a book proposal that I hope will lead to seeing my own title on the shelves soon.
